  • Overview

    The Supervisor, OCC Administration is responsible for managing the day to day administrative functions for the Operations Control Center (OCC), including, but not limited to:


    • May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate. (e.g. emergencies change in workload, rush jobs or technical developments.)
    • Manage the Dispatch department schedules in accordance with FARs, the Collective Bargaining Agreement and company policies, to include all related bids and upkeep.
    • Manage the Dispatch department payroll process in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement and company policies.
    • Develop and maintain scheduling/payroll reports and analysis to ensure the Dispatch department is operated as efficiently as possible (including the accurate account of sick and vacation use); 
    • Develop expert knowledge of Dispatcher duty rest regulations, FARs, company policies and procedures, the Dispatch Collective Bargaining Agreement and scheduling software.
    • Assist OCC department Directors and Vice President in the development and implementation of staffing plans;
    • Create, maintain and/or distribute daily, weekly, and monthly operating and planning reports;
    • Coordinate with team members and contractors on the overall upkeep of the OCC facility, including general office supply management.  Ensure the environment is maintained in a clean, orderly, and mission-ready state;
    • Serve as a trusted, credible resource to all Spirit departments for matters pertaining to the OCC;
    • Act as a role model by being highly engaged and an active participant in team meetings;
    • Serve as the OCC Cultural Ambassador for planning and oversight of special events, fundraisers, charity events, and participating or leading special event committees;
    • Ensure OCC team member voices and interests are represented in company initiatives through the duties of the OCC Cultural Ambassador.
    • Arrange travel and provide general administrative support for department Directors and the Vice President;
    • Assist department Directors and the Vice President in the compilation of company presentations, reports, budget plans and other miscellaneous items;
    • Manage the OCC Visitor approval process and host external vendors/visitors/tours;
    • Other projects and office duties as assigned.


    • Ability to maintain high levels of energy and focus for a changing list of priorities, tasks, and work assignments in a fast-paced environment.
    • Demonstrate high levels of initiative, pro-actively identifying and completing assignments, and working with little supervision.
    • Demonstrating data analysis skills.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization.
    • Experience in using general office software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
    • Ability to learn and effectively use operational and scheduling software programs.
    • Highly organized with emphasis on accuracy and punctuality.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with teams.
    • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
    • Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance.
    • One to three years experience in an administrative role.
    • Other experience levels will be considered on a case by case basis.
    • Potential need to occasionally work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice.

    Preferred Skills/Experience:

    • Bachelors Degree in Business or related field
    • Advanced and demonstrated abilities in Microsoft Excel, Power-Point and Access required.
    • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
